Robert talks Camille down by saying their son should be spared having two murderers for parents. Clearly he’s feeling guilty for using the boy’s school jacket to help smuggle IDs needed for the aborted bombing; Camille caught him so easily you’d almost think he wanted to be caught. Once again, actor Common makes Robert’s moral and emotional dilemmas seem truly painful for him to endure. This is not a man used to honoring his own conscience.
