Plot-wise and whatnot it looks cool, but some of those effects shots are really crappy, especially two, the early wide and high shot of the mist engulfing the town, and also the shot almost at the end with the woman wrapped in a tentacle being pulled away from the camera into the mist (right before the title logo).
I hope these are preliminary effects, which they still might be, given that it’s being released late November, but that really needs to be fixed, because it’s made-for-TV quality CGI.

It didn’t bother me that much, to be honest, but the temptation for cheesy glory shots will be hard for the filmmakers to resist I think.
