I was interested to learn that there’s a studio that specializes in opening sequences now.
Yeah, the Dawn of the Dead remake opening really is just about perfect. I also love the way those early scenes unfold with the nurse repeatedly just missing the early hours of the outbreak. Life is so like that sometimes.
I have a deep fondness for the simplicity of The Thing. John Carpenter’s crew was so good at making the most of really limited resources thanks to intelligent planning.
